History will remember the Bush and the Republican party that Elected him

The Bush Crew sold Republicans a bill of goods in 2000 based on everything they wanted to hear, then Bush and CO. GOT PAID! Then they once again sold Republicans another bill of goods in 2004 and said the Democrats were everything Bush and Co actually WERE! Big Government, Social programs, out of control deficit spending, corrupt special interest panderers and unable to win or protect America in the war of terrorism! Now 6 years after the fact the True Blue Dog Republicans see the have been Bush Whacked and Lie to, and that the country is worst off than anyone could ever have imagined and that the REPUBLICAN PARTY will be tagged with this fiasco for history!

If people only knew the facts, they would not be fighting for the 'RIGHT' to be screwed over.

Medicare Drug Plan

An email I sent to a TV news show after listening to the Bush Administration discussing the success of the Medicare Drug Plan.

Hello

I like to add my two cents about the Medicare Drug Plan. I understand why you need to have the Bush Administration come on to shill for the Plan, it gives you continued access to the White House. However as an individual who is dealing with the fall out of the plan I disagree with most of what is being said.

The ones who REALLY need the plans are the ones who do not have access. Most low income individuals do not have a computer nor do they have the where-with-all to deal with the system and intricacies of the selection process.

The Insurance companies are doing this for profit, so there are hurdles that individuals need to jump to get their medications. This is fair?

Why does a person who is taking life saving drugs need to reapply for approvals every, 3, 6 or 12 months to get their medication? This is a reality that many who are at a medical disadvantage do not have the ability , energy or resources to fight for their medication.

My mother has Parkinson's. The Medication is very Necessary. Yet she was denied medication because of approvals the Insurance company required when she first attempted to refill her 3 month supply of med's. Med's she needs to take several times a day at the same time each day. Med's the Insurance company refused to pay for. Med's she has been taking for years. Med's she could not now get.

The pharmacy gave her a few pills to hold her over, and the doctor's office has given her 'free samples'. I have intervened and found out WHY she wasn't able to get her medication. The INSURANCE Company wanted proof the medication was needed. The insurance company ignored the calls from the doctors office saying it was necessary, the history of the patient and the patient diagnosis. They wanted a test to be performed before they granted approval.

The test is a test the doctor does each time my mother goes for her check up. The doctor faxed this proof over immediately, yet the Insurance company will probably not approve the meds for several weeks, bureaucracy!

So my mother is without Insurance coverage for several weeks. She takes a cocktail of drugs everyday to deal with her Parkinson's. The out of pocket costs will be in the Thousands of dollars for the time she is without insurance. I can pay for the drugs.

What do others do who are not as fortunate? The ones who REALLY need this coverage?

Again the insurance companies are doing this to make a profit. Every time a prescription is denied for 'cause' is a day the insurance company makes money. The insurance company can give sound business reasons for denying care, but socially and morally the profits they make is 'blood money'.

If people only knew the facts, they would not be fighting for the 'RIGHT' to be screwed over.

As anyone who has read my posts will attest I am a vocal individual when it comes to my opinion.

Right now we are in Iraq for the duration, for better or worse. I believe if the outcome should be negative, no WMDs or connection to the 9/11 terrorists, World opinion will not be against the American people or this country, but against the Bush administration.

The flip side would be a tremendous boost to the Administration. Should irrefutable evidence of a connection between the 9/11 terrorists and Saddam's active participation to aide, arm and facilitate this attack, Bush will win in a landslide.

The finding of WMDs in and of itself would not be enough however to justify the war, and the expenditure of men, money and resources if no connection to bin-Laden is made.

Far worst, if the United States should sustain an attack from al-Quada, this could mean a substantial and irreconcilable error for the administration, especially if no tie to bin-Laden, Saddam and WMDs is established.

Other concerns are looming in the distance, Wall Street is rebounding, but this may not translate to the economy.

We are facing a number of factors that can stop the recovery from happening.

If the falling dollar continues unabated, confidence in investing in American Markets will dissipate. Any returns Foreign Investors will receive in the US Stock Markets or other monetary US investments will be negated by the currency differential. Add to this the need to finance our growing National Debt by foreign investors and you begin to see a huge precipice just ahead. If the fall of the dollar is not curtailed soon, the need to raise rates and lower initial Bond price offerings will occur so that foreigners will be enticed to buy our Bonds. This increase of rates could put a quick end to this recovery. With no recovery, a lower tax base due to the recent cuts, the largest deficit spending in history, and unfunded or underfunded liabilities such as Social Security and Medicare benefits for the Baby Boomers and you have the making for problems for the American people and the consumer.

In the past this was not a problem because the US economy was the engine for the world. This is no longer the case. Jobs run the engine and we have been exporting jobs to the new rising engine in the English speaking countries in the Asian Hemisphere. In the pass we only exported the low paying manufacturing jobs, but now we export the higher earning electronic manufacturing, technical service and customer service jobs.

Ultimately this will mean a lowering of the standard of living for Americans in an effort to be competitive in the World job market. This will mean even less money for the Government in the form of taxes. Also the issue of tax collection for the large multinationals occurs. Multinationals can effectively move their domicile to a tax friendly country paying a majority of their taxes there and place business components through out the world as it becomes bottom line appropriate.

This is just one Scenario. It need not occur. Speaking about it, helps it not happen.

There is a reason Gold is going up.
